About the event
Did you know that there are 38 plays in Shakespeare’s Canon? You’ve probably heard of the popular ones: Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, right? Well, did you know that Shakespeare wrote about Joan of Arc? That two of his tragedies have only one death? Or that there’s a play about the Trojan War? Michael Hagins, likely the only African-American to have ever completed the Shakespeare Canon, will be introducing and presenting several of Shakespeare’s obscure works such as Timon of Athens, Cymbeline, and other such strange works that would make an English teacher blush with confusion! Come learn how good (or bad?) these plays are, and how valuable they are to a Shakespeare enthusiast!
