About the event
"Language and Poetry is a fun, accessible workshop that has been run successfully with improvisers of all skills and ages, teaching the skills needed to perform more authentic, elevated and engaging improvised Shakespeare. Covering skills like poetry, rhyming and iambic pentameter, participants will learn to feel the rhythm of the meter, explore detailed images and have fun playing with language. If you want to make your Shakespeare sing, this is the workshop for you!
About the Instructor:
Brent Hirose is a classically trained actor who has been dedicated to improv for over fifteen years. He is the current artistic director of The Spontaneous Shakespeare Company, Canada's premiere improvised Shakespeare company since 2016. Under his leadership, the company toured all over North America, performing their brand of improvised Shakespearean plays to sold out houses, rave reviews and multiple awards.
