About the event
Have you ever felt confined rather than liberated by the rules of improv? Do you ever question an initiation because it goes against what you've been taught? In this workshop, we'll combine discussion and exercises to break down the "rules" of improv to their core intent. Once you understand the "why's" you can change the "how's" of your play. For the Unscripted Shakespeare Festival, we'll play close attention to how this applies to narrative improv formats. This workshop is ideal for those with intermediate improv training and above.
About the Instructor:
Kristin Elliott has been studying and performing improv since childhood, and has acted, directed, and studied Shakespeare plays and texts. She is a member of Thorn and Petal Stick: UnScripted Shakespeare, and an improv coach for practice groups and Fool Party in NYC.
This workshop takes place on Sunday May 25th from 10:00am - 11:30am at The Tank, 6th…
